The San Francisco Bay Area Animal Rescue community has lost a compassionate and visionary leader.
The Loup Garou Animal Rescue’s team of volunteers has lost an inspiring adviser and dear friend.
“…. Humans and dogs alike lost an amazing person today,” said Angela Lucia Padilla, Founder of Northern California Family Dog Rescue.“ Passionate animal rescuer. Fierce advocate for underdogs. Warm, big-hearted friend. A true force of nature… The world has lost an amazing, classy, hugely compassionate soul… We are committed to continuing Loup Garou Animal Rescue in her honor. Jenn’s passion for rescuing black animals and educating people about their difficulty getting adopted inspired our entire rescue community. We are devastated, but comforted knowing we can do this work in her memory.”
Jennifer was born in 1965 and grew up in San Francisco CA. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA degree in Criminal Justice. She went on to New College School of Law in San Francisco CA. Along with her fifteen plus years in animal rescue, Ms. Jameson served on San Francisco’s Commission on Animal Control and Welfare as its Vice Chair (October 2013 – May 2014).
In January 2014, Loup Garou Animal Rescue merged into Northern California Family Dog Rescue. Loup Garou Animal Rescue continues to carry out its mission under the auspices of Northern California Family Dog Rescue. On May 21st, 2014, the Board of Directors of Northern California Family Dog Rescue lovingly announced the establishment of The Jennifer Mieuli Jameson Memorial Fund. All funds donated to this Fund will be dedicated to the mission of Loup Garou Animal Rescue. “We can think of no better way to honor and remember our dear friend than by ensuring the ongoing success of her beloved LGR.”
